The Department of Works and Highways (DoWH) marks a half-century of dedicated service to the development of Papua New Guinea's infrastructure and its ongoing commitment to national progress with the launch of its 50th Golden Jubilee logo on March 4.
The new Golden Jubilee logo reflects the department’s rich history in line with PNG’s 50th Jubilee Independence Anniversary that will be celebrated on September 16.
The logo incorporates elements that symbolize many years of infrastructure development under DoWH’s leadership, blending tradition with modernity in its design.
The Minister for Works and Highways, Hon. Solan Mirisim, MP was the keynote speaker in the launch event graced by Vice Minister Hon. Peter Isoaimo, along with past and present leaders of the department, industry experts, and stakeholders from various sectors.
Mirisim, in his speech, reinforced DoWH’s continued commitment to connecting PNG, and building infrastructure that will develop PNG going forward.
