According to PNG CORE Chief Operating Officer Pansy Taueni-Sialis, the establishment of the Committee is part of the Industry’s commitment to drive implementation and improve monitoring and reporting of national content in PNG with the aim of maximizing value creation from within the resource sector and from its industry partners.

“The National Content Committee will also focus its efforts towards implementing our Industry Policy Statement on National Content, in alignment with the overarching National Content Policy, administered by the Department of Commerce & Industry, and the Petroleum sector National Content Policy, administered by the Department of Petroleum.”

“ExxonMobil PNG Limited’s National Content Manager, Mr. Samuel Koyama, has assumed the role as interim Chair of this Committee, which also comprises National Content industry leaders from across the mineral, petroleum and energy sectors.
