Our ace columnist Michael McWalter, the former director for the Petroleum Division and adviser to the Government of PNG, finishes his story on how Papua New Guinea became and oil producer and then an LNG Producer, starting on page 10. On the government front, we give you the lowdown on two important developments. This massive $12-billion project is another vote of confidence in PNG, and we’ll make sure to keep you updated on its developments.
Second, the leadership has changed hands in the Ministry of Mining, as Sir Ano Pala gives the baton to Honorable Muguwa Dilu, who later updates stakeholders on how the government is taking strategic measures to address the country’s mineral resource inventories.
